I have wrote my goals down and started putting things together. There are times that I allow myself to be side tracked. There are times when fear, or doubt comes to discourage me. How to I stop being side tracked?
ReplyDeleteI agree with the comment above. How do you stay encouraged when you have experienced so many years of disappointment? My heart and mind are willing, but so often I feel like my efforts are in vain. The affirmations and written declarations after months and years become powerless as it seems. I haven't stopped visualizing, but my visions are slowly becoming dreams and hopes. How do I stay strong?
ReplyDeleteI am in complete agreeance with the above bloggers. I just read in my Bible study today Judges 8:4-21 that Gideon crossed over the Jordan he and his 300 men were exhausted, but still in pursuit. I myself for the past 2 weeks was extremely discouraged and had thoughts about quitting/giving up on the things that I have worked so hard for because of all the pitfalls and road blocks that I've come across, but realized 1. i'm not a quitter and 2. i live for Jesus who strengthens me. Feel like quitting? Bloggers, Don't do it; God has too much invested in you. Get up and Get out there while you still can; "Strengthen the things which remain that are ready to die (Rev 3:2). Pen your Bible and begin to fill your mind with God's promises; they're powerful motivators. Pray, believing God for great things. Plug in at church and rekindle your desire. This was a reminder to me that God has a plan for all of us...with a little motivation, you can overcome all obstacles and be successful at whatever you desire to do. Don't let your affirmations/declarations become powerless. Turn your dreams into reality. Stay strong by staying positive, having hope and getting rid of negative people in your circle and replace them with a positive support structure
ReplyDeleteYou're all correct but what is the strategy to being consistent because that's the place of TRUE SUCCESS.

Keep your goals at the forefront of your mind. Never let the thought of your goals slip away. You must force yourself to do something everyday that will keep you one step closer to your goal. This takes a lot of self-discipline, but it can be done. What you focus on the longest stays the strongest. Thank you for posting and sharing!

I know it can be difficult to believe that you are worthy of good things when you’ve endured what seems to be so many bad things in your life, but always remember that, “All things work together for good to them that love the Lord”. The trials and hardships that you endure in life are designed to build your character and make you a stronger person. You will never achieve great things if you have not been through any kind of struggle. Stay encouraged by using the power of your tongue to speak those things that are not as though they were. Your words can shape your circumstances and turn them around for good. Death and life are in your tongue. As it pertains to your affirmations, you must not just write them down, but recite them OUT LOUD each day because as you continue to recite your affirmations, your words go out into the atmosphere and bring back to you the elements that will make you into the person that you say you are. Thank you for posting and sharing!

Giving up and quitting is NEVER an option. Only the strong survive. God created you with every ounce of power that you need to accomplish every goal that you have set. If it was not his will for you to be able to achieve it, He never would have given you the desire for it. The fact that you have the desire is an indication that you can have it. What you seek is also seeking you. It is fully formed in the spirit realm and you must make provisions to bring it out of the spirit into the natural. It takes prayer, meditation, focus, and goal-setting. I love the fact that you mentioned “staying positive” because that is extremely important. If you think negatively almost all day everyday, and then try and think positively 20 minutes a day, you will get what your mind focuses on the longest and the strongest – the negative. Stay positive and thank you for sharing!

In my opinion (and I’m no expert), the key to being consistent is effective scheduling and balance. If you have a set time each day to do something towards your goal, then you need to stick to it. There are some things that you do everyday automatically without question right? Other things you don’t for whatever reason. For instance, you might make yourself breakfast each day before leaving the house for work. You wake up and brush your teeth, wash your face and comb your hair everyday. Why can’t you be as automatic with your goals – working on them the same time each day like you do other thing? This is the only way to get consistent. Thank you for posting and sharing!
Mary:
Mary, keep that goal at the center of your thoughts each and every day. You will graduate with that degree and then you must set more goals after you achieve that one. There must always be a vision beyond the arrival point. No one ever arrives. Good luck! Thank you for posting and sharing!
